Orlando is third nonstop route for Frontier from Louisville
Frontier Airlines announced new nonstop seasonal service between Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) beginning Thursday, November 15, 2018. Nonstop flights to Orlando will be offered three-times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, using an Airbus A320.
Flights are now on sale for travel through Sunday, April 28, 2019 with special introductory fares available at www.FlyFrontier.com. “We are very pleased with Frontier’s continued growth at Louisville International,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Orlando is one of the top destinations for area travelers, and this provides another competitive option for them to reach one of their favorite places.”
Orlando marks Frontier’s third nonstop destination from Louisville. Flights to Denver International Airport (DEN) began in May, followed by service to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) in August. “It is great news that Frontier is again expanding its service options in Louisville; that’s a real endorsement of our city’s momentum,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer.
Frontier becomes the third airline offering low fare flight options from Louisville to Orlando, joining Southwest Airlines who also flies to Orlando International Airport. Allegiant Air provides nonstop service to Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). Due to the increased demand and market growth, service is now available to 31 nonstop destinations from Louisville; including 18 of the top 20 destinations travelers visit most.
