Breeze Inaugurating New Nonstop from Louisville to Raleigh-Durham Starting from $55*
Introduces ‘Breeze Ascent,’ Highlights Elevated Onboard Experience
Breeze Airways, the newest, nicest low-fare airline, is inaugurating its newest nonstop route today from Louisville to Raleigh-Durham, NC, from just $55* one way, and adding one-stop/no change of plane BreezeThru service to Jacksonville, FL.
From Louisville, KY:
- Raleigh-Durham, NC (Summer seasonal, Mon and Fri, starting May 19, from $55* one way); and
- Jacksonville, FL (BreezeThru service, Mon and Fri, starting May 19).
From Louisville, Breeze also serves Charleston, SC; New Orleans, LA; San Francisco, CA; and Tampa, FL.
“It’s a great day to welcome Breeze Airways’ service between Louisville and Raleigh-Durham,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “Almost two-years exactly that Breeze first launched service at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and in that time, they have continued to grow, now offering service to five destinations from Louisville. With today’s flight, area travelers can now reach SDF’s top unserved market in the east and one of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country. This is a great way to kick-off what we believe will be a strong summer travel season.”
“Today’s new flight on Breeze Airways to Raleigh-Durham is another key link for our city, especially for the healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries,” added Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg. “This is another example of the continued growth and positive momentum happening at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. We thank Breeze for their ongoing investment in Louisville and applaud Dan and the airport team for their hard work.”
“We continue to expand our service in Louisville and this new nonstop and BreezeThru route will offer more great options for Breeze Guests looking to fly out of SDF,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO. “As we approach our second birthday on May 27 it’s great that we have grown to six destinations since starting operations from Louisville.”
The nation’s first and only “NLCC’ (Nice Low Cost Carrier) is also rebranding its front seating section to be called “Breeze Ascent,” an affordable, elevated onboard experience. Ascent includes a recliner-style seat in a 2×2 configuration, with 20.5-inches of width and 39-inches of seat pitch, and complimentary snacks and beverages, including alcohol.
Breeze offers its Guests both bundled and ala carte options known as Nice, Nicer and Nicest. The Nicest bundle includes the Breeze Ascent seat and two checked bags.
Breeze currently flies both short distance and transcontinental flights within the U.S. on a fleet of Embraer 190/195 and Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The carrier has ordered 80 A220s, with options for 40 more.
Seat pitch for a Standard Economy seat is 30 inches on the A220s and 31 inches on the E-195s, while seat pitch for Extra Legroom is 32 inches on the A220s and between 34 and 39 inches on the E-195s, depending on the row selected.
