Additional Flights Just in Time for Summer at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport

Plus CLEAR Mobile offers another way to enhance airport experience

With the addition of several seasonal flights, the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) is ready for what could be a record-breaking summer. Overall scheduled capacity by the airlines will see a slight increase of 3% compared to 2023, the airport’s best year to date as Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airlines welcome seasonal service to some of the region’s favorite vacation destinations.

“The return of these flights in time for the summer gives our passengers more options to visit some of their favorite vacation destinations,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “We have continued to see growth to and from our leisure markets in recent years and expect to see that trend continue in the coming summer months.”

Allegiant will see the return of nonstop service to Austin (AUS), Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS), Myrtle Beach (MYR) and Savannah-Hilton Head (SAV). Flights to Austin and Savannah-Hilton Head will be offered twice-weekly while service to Myrtle Beach will be available on Saturdays. Nonstop service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach will be offered three to six times a week from now through December. In addition, Sun Country resumed nonstop service to Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) twice weekly now through October.

The region’s travelers will not only benefit from more nonstop flights, but from the new CLEAR Mobile that launched earlier this month. CLEAR Mobile gives CLEAR Plus Members an opportunity to enhance their screening experience by expediting their queue time at the security checkpoint. While CLEAR uses biometric technology at some airports, CLEAR Mobile easily and conveniently allows CLEAR Plus Members to simply show a code on the CLEAR app via their mobile device at the specially designated entrance lanes.
