On behalf of the Airport Authority board and staff, thank you for your patience during the Crittenden Drive Relocation Project. As you may recall, the project was necessary to construct Taxiway A, which allows Louisville International to handle the newest 21st-century aircraft—helping retain and attract even more aviation-related companies and jobs for our community. At this time, we expect to begin construction in summer 2015 and complete the work sometime before summer 2016.
To help finalize the project’s design, on Monday, February 16, personnel from the engineering firm of HNTB will be in your area to survey the area—collecting data to determine the specifics of the work on Allmond Avenue and the parameters of replacing the Woodlawn Overpass. We expect that they will be in the area for the next two or three weeks.
