Sinnwell Hired as DED of Planning and Engineering
October 17, 2013
Skip Miller, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority, announced today that Brian J. Sinnwell has been hired, effective October 15, to fill the position of Deputy Executive Director of Planning and Engineering, previously held by Karen A. Scott, who retired. In addition to his responsibility for the Authority’s engineering and planning, Sinnwell will direct the Authority’s environmental and noise-abatement functions.
Miller noted, “Brian’s 23 years of experience, most recently as Director of Planning and Facilities at the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority in program management, project planning, design and construction prepare him well to lead our future facility initiatives.” “In addition, Sinnwell’s experience in strategic planning—including the management of FAA Airport Capital Improvement Programs—will assist the Authority with further refining our long-range capital improvement program.”
Sinnwell has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master’s Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University and a Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management from Lehigh University. Sinnwell is active in the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) as a member of the Operations, Safety and Planning Committee and Engineers without Borders.
