At September’s monthly meeting, the Louisville Regional Airport Authority Board announced that Jim Welch would serve as its Vice Chairman and Jon Meyer as its Secretary-Treasurer. Mr. Welch was appointed to the Board in 2009 and is Vice Chairman of Brown-Forman Corporation, with global responsibility for corporate strategy, human resources, corporate affairs and diversity. In addition, he is an instrument-rated private pilot with more than 1,000 hours of flight time and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Mr. Meyer was appointed to the Board and elected SecretaryTreasurer in 2011. He is Partner and Chair of the Board of Jones, Nale & Mattingly PLC, Certified Public Accountants in Louisville, KY and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants.
