Southwest Announces Nonstop Service to Atlanta

Southwest Airlines has announced that it will begin new nonstop jet service between Louisville International Airport (SDF) and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) with three daily flights effective August 12, 2012. The new service will provide low-fare access to one of the region’s top business destinations and easy connections to dozens of cities in the Southwest network.
The new service will be offered on 137-seat Boeing 737 aircraft. “Atlanta is a vital business destination for Louisville travelers and we are pleased to welcome Southwest’s low-fare service to this very important market,” said Skip Miller, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. With this announcement, Southwest Airlines will offer 18 daily nonstop flights to eight destinations including Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago/Midway, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, St. Louis and Tampa.
