Airport Authority Announces Board Officers – July 2011

At yesterday’s annual meeting of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority’s Board of Directors, Mayor Greg Fischer reappointed Philip J. Lynch as Chairman of the Board. In addition, J.D. Nichols was re-elected by the Board as Vice Chairman and Jon Meyer was elected as Secretary-Treasurer. Mr. Lynch is Vice President, Director of Corporate Communications for Brown-Forman. He was appointed to the Board in April 2003, elected Vice Chairman in January 2004, and appointed Chairman in November 2009. Prior to his appointment to the Board, he was actively involved in the Louisville Airport Improvement Project (LAIP), which constructed a new airport on top of the old one.
Mr. Nichols was appointed to the Board in 1992, and served as Chairman from 2004 until November 2009. He was an early proponent of the Louisville Airport Improvement Program. A licensed pilot, Mr. Nichols is Chairman of the Board of NTS Corporation, a real estate development and management company with commercial, residential and multi-family holdings nationwide. Mr. Meyer, who was recently appointed to the Board by Mayor Fischer, is Partner and Chair of the Board of Jones of Nale & Mattingly PLC, Certified Public Accountants in Louisville, KY. Mr. Meyer also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants.
