Chris Carmicle Appointed to Airport Authority Board

Chris Carmicle was recently appointed by Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg to the Board of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority for a four-year term through July 2028. The Louisville Regional Airport Authority owns, operates and develops the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Bowman Field (LOU).
Mr. Carmicle is the owner of PLC Management, an experienced owner’s representative and construction project management firm that oversees approximately $600 million in construction each year. PLC Management was key in several notable local projects including the American Printing House for the Blind Museum, Speed Art Museum, Jewish Community Center of Louisville, the Galt House Hotel, 21c Hotel and Whiskey Row. PLC Management was also key to the Rupp Arena and Central Bank Center renovations in Lexington, KY. His prior professional experiences include President, Chief Operating Officer and Partner of DMK Development Group, a healthcare developer and construction management firm as well as the President of Brown Jordan, the world’s largest premium manufacturer and distributor of outdoor furnishings.
In addition to his role with the Airport Authority Board, Mr. Carmicle has been an active member of the Board for the Zoeller Company for 13 years and currently serves as the Board Chair following his election in 2018. He previously served on the Board of Directors for Polywood for nine years and Republic Bank for six years.
Mr. Carmicle earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in Lexington and his Master of Business Administration from Bellarmine University in Louisville. He currently resides in Louisville with his wife and two children.
