Louisville Regional Airport Authority Director of Human Resources Heather Fuqua was named by the Leadership Louisville Center to its Leadership Louisville Class of 2024 sponsored by Republic Bank. For more than 40 years, the Leadership Louisville Program has engaged with established community leaders to generate meaningful social impact while also contributing to the region’s growth and success.
“Congratulations to Heather on her selection to the Leadership Louisville Class of 2024,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “This respected community leadership program will allow Heather to share her extensive knowledge and collaborate alongside some of the area’s finest professionals. It is also an acknowledgment of the talent at the Airport Authority, serving our community both at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) and Bowman Field (LOU).”
This year’s Leadership Louisville Class features 62 members who will spend the next 10 months immersed in a variety of experiences and active learning opportunities. They will explore the city’s history, assets and challenges while ensuring they are knowledgeable about issues, well-networked and enthusiastic about the success of the region. Each year, members for the Leadership Louisville Program are chosen from a highly competitive application process.
Bringing more than 15 years of experience, Fuqua joined the Airport Authority in October 2022 to lead its Human Resources Department. She is responsible for defining, developing and directing strategic initiatives for talent management and recruitment, compensation, compliance and employee relations. Before joining the Airport Authority, Fuqua served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner at Cushman & Wakefield as well as holding leadership roles at MKSK, Inc., DONAN – Forensic Engineer, Fire and HVAC Investigations and Spencerian College.
Fuqua earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Campbellsville University and holds a Certificate of Professional in Human Resources from Human Resources Certification Institute (PHR – HRCI).
