Louisville International Concession Construction Update 12/21/16

December 21, 2016

Public space improvements to the Louisville International Airport terminal as part of the Terminal Enhancement Project are now complete, with the exception of a few finishing touches. This includes more than $9.5 million in aesthetic improvements including four, new core escalators that connect the baggage claim and ticketing, new terrazzo floor and carpet, new LED lighting systems, new wall treatments and the addition of representative community images and graphics throughout the terminal. As part of the project, concession operators, HMS Host (food-and-beverage) and Paradies Lagardère (gift-and-news), are investing more than $9.3 million combined in new outlets and retail stores. (This includes an initial combined investment of more than $8.5 million, with an additional $800,000-plus in combined improvements at the mid-term of the agreement.)
