Louisville International Terminal Enhancement Construction Update 4/12/16

Construction continues on the $9.5 million Louisville International Airport Terminal Enhancement Project. In addition, HMS Host (food-and-beverage) and Paradies Lagardère (gift-and-news) combined are investing more than $8 million in new outlets and retail stores. On Wednesday, April 13, terrazzo flooring as part of Phase 2A on the west side of the departures (upper) will be finished.

With this completion, the American Airlines ticket counters will return to their normal location near the center elevator. Also, the center elevator between the departures (upper) level and the arrivals (lower) level has returned to normal operations. On Monday, April 18, the center exterior doors on the arrivals (lower) level will temporarily close and will reopen by Tuesday, May 3. For access to the arrivals (lower) curb, please use the east or west exterior doors. Work remains on-going on Phases 2B and 3D in Concourse A and Phase 2C in Concourse B. Construction to Temporarily Cease for Derby Traffic

To minimize disruptions to Derby guests, heavy construction work will temporarily stop beginning Saturday, April 23. Minor work such as painting and carpet installation will conclude on Tuesday, May 3, with all work resuming on Tuesday, May 10. Temporary construction signs will remain in the terminal to help direct guests throughout the project, which should be completed in fall 2016.
