Louisville International Terminal Enhancement Construction Update 7/18/16

Construction continues on the $9.5 million Louisville International Airport Terminal Enhancement Project. HMS Host (food-and-beverage) and Paradies Lagardère (gift-and-news) are investing more than $8 million combined in new outlets and retail stores.
Before the Security Checkpoint (Landside Terminal) – Rotunda
The new Starbucks in the food court area, directly before the security checkpoint, opened on Wednesday, July 13. Subsequently, its kiosk location next to the Woodford Reserve Bar and Grill has closed in preparation for construction of The Comfy Cow. As of Friday, July 8, The New York Times Books and News is permanently closed as construction begins on the TODAY-branded store, which should open in October. A temporary retail kiosk is open by the construction area in the rotunda, before the security checkpoint.
After the Security Checkpoint (Airside Terminal) – Concourses A and B
Beginning Monday, July 18 through August, terrazzo flooring will be installed in a small area in Concourse B, next to Stars of Louisville Restaurant, which is across from Gates B5 and B7. During this time, the restaurant and all gates will be open and accessible. Also, beginning Tuesday, July 19 through August, terrazzo flooring will be installed in a small area in Concourse A, next to Gate A5. During this time, Chili’s Too and all gates will be open and accessible. On Friday, July 8, the CNBC News retailer in Concourse B closed for construction of the new WAVE 3 NBC Travel Store, which should open in October. During construction, a temporary retail kiosk is open across from Gate B9.

Note: Temporary construction signs are installed throughout the terminal to direct guests during the construction project—which should be finished in fall 2016.
