Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport to host Second TSA PreCheck Enrollment Event this Year
December 8, 2023
Additional enrollment opportunity follows success of last month’s event
The Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF) will partner with IDEMIA, a TSA PreCheck authorized enrollment provider, to host its second TSA PreCheck enrollment event this year. This comes following the success of a recent two-week enrollment event in November, which saw 930 individuals participate. This month’s enrollment event at SDF will take place on Monday, December 18 through Friday, December 22 with appointments available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving the region’s travelers a convenient and efficient way to sign-up for this seamless screening process. Appointments are strongly encouraged; however, a limited number of walk-ins may be accepted.
Access to the temporary TSA PreCheck enrollment event will be located on the ticketing level, immediately across from the Delta Air Lines ticket counter in the terminal. Applicants should follow the signs to the temporary enrollment center.
TSA PreCheck provides low-risk travelers with a smoother experience through airport security and is a great option for those looking to save time when traveling. Enrolled members do not need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts or light jackets. They also access the dedicated TSA PreCheck screening lanes at more than 200 airports across the nation.
The TSA PreCheck enrollment process is quick and convenient. To sign-up, interested individuals should complete the online application at: https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/programs/precheck. When searching for locations, select Louisville, KY – Pop-Up: SDF, 11/6-11/17 as the appointment or walk-in location. As part of enrollment, the in-person interview requires that all applicants provide proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprints and a photo. Learn more about what documents are needed at the link above.
Following the in-person enrollment appointment, most applicants will receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) in three to five days. The KTN should then be added to all flight reservations to enjoy all the TSA PreCheck benefits.
This is the third time IDEMIA has collaborated with SDF – and second time in 2024 – on its TSA PreCheck enrollment initiatives. The first time was in May 2022, when 360 individuals participated.
