Southwest Airlines Announces New, Nonstop Service to Nashville

December 13, 2024

Southwest Airlines recently announced new, nonstop service to Nashville International Airport (BNA) from the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), providing travelers convenient connecting options to 76 cities. The service is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

“Southwest’s continued investment in SDF is a positive sign for our travelers and region,” said Dan Mann, Executive Director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. “This quick flight allows for a wide range of connecting opportunities through Southwest’s network of more than 70 cities across the country.”

This new service offers travelers quicker itineraries and a wider range of options to reach popular destinations, especially coastal cities in the Southeast such as Pensacola, Destin, Panama City, Savannah, Charleston and Myrtle Beach. In addition to these routes, the flights will provide more travel choices to dozens of cities across the nation, particularly in the Southeastern U.S.

Nonstop service to Nashville will be offered on a 143-seat Boeing 737 aircraft and will be available daily (except Saturdays). With today’s news and the relaunch of nonstop service to Dallas-Love Field in October, Southwest offers nonstop flights from SDF to Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago-Midway, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston-Hobby, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix and Tampa. Airfare is now available for purchase at www.Southwest.com.
